Repair or replace

We tell you which you need.

Not every water heater problem needs a new unit. Some are a repair, some are past saving. We check yours and give you the straight answer, not the expensive one.

We find out what's wrong

No hot water, a unit that trips, water that runs lukewarm, or a leak. We check the unit and work out what is actually causing it before we quote.

We repair where it's worth it

Some faults are a repairable part rather than a whole new unit. Where a repair makes sense and will last, we tell you, and it saves you the cost of replacing.

We replace when it's the right call

If the tank itself is leaking from the body, the unit needs replacing. We fit a new one, remove the old, and get your hot water back.

You get the choice

We lay out repair versus replace with the cost of each, so you decide with the full picture, not under pressure.

What you're seeing

The signs of a failing heater.

These are the symptoms we get called out for most, and what they usually mean.
The unit has stopped heating entirely. We check the unit and tell you what has gone and whether it can be put right.
Lukewarm water that never gets to temperature. Often a sign the unit is struggling rather than dead.
A unit that trips the breaker needs looking at properly, and it is not something to leave running.
A leak from the tank body means the unit needs replacing. No repair will hold a tank that has gone.

The straight answer

Are you going to tell me I need a new one?

It is the worry with any heater callout: that a small fault turns into a sales pitch for a whole new unit. Here is how we actually handle it.

A repair is often enough

Plenty of heater faults come down to a part, not the whole unit. Where a repair will fix it and last, that is what we recommend, because it is cheaper for you and it is the truth.

A leaking tank is the exception

If the tank body itself is leaking, no repair will hold it, and we will not pretend otherwise. That is the one case where replacement is the only real fix, and we will show you why.

You see both prices

When both are options, we give you the repair cost and the replacement cost side by side, and you choose. No pressure, no steering you to the bigger bill.

If we need to cut

We leave it neat.

Where a heater sits above a ceiling, reaching it can mean cutting an access panel. Nobody wants a hole left in their ceiling, so here is what ours actually look like when we are done.
Before After

Other plumbing services

More of what we handle.

If it is not the heater, it may be one of these. Here is the rest of our plumbing work.

On an annual plan

No hot water at the worst time? Covered.

Our Annual Maintenance Contract covers your AC, plumbing and electrical all year, with unlimited emergency callouts and labour included. A heater that fails is handled without a fresh callout bill each time. The one thing a plan does not cover is the cost of a brand new unit itself, but the labour to fit it is included. One plan, one team, your whole home looked after.

Before you book

The answers most people want first.

Fitted, with the old unit removed and the valves and hoses included, prices start at AED 865 for a 30 litre and rise with capacity: 50 litre AED 995, 80 litre AED 1,085, 100 litre AED 1,240, 150 litre AED 3,560, and 200 litre AED 4,425. We confirm the price before any work starts.

Sometimes, yes. Some faults come down to a part rather than the whole unit, and where a repair will fix it and last, we recommend that. If the tank body itself is leaking, though, it needs replacing, and we will tell you straight.

It varies with use and water quality. When a unit starts failing repeatedly or the tank begins to leak, it is usually reaching the end rather than needing another repair. We will tell you where yours stands when we check it. If you have a solar system rather than an electric one, see our solar water heater repair page, since solar units are more often repairable.

Yes. We check your unit and tell you whether it is a repair or a replacement, with the cost of each, at no charge. You only pay if you decide to go ahead.

Where a unit sits above a ceiling and reaching it means cutting an access panel, that is quoted separately, and we always tell you before we cut. It is not added to the price without your say-so.

Yes. Our work carries a 90-day workmanship warranty. A new unit also carries its own manufacturer warranty, which we will explain when we fit it.
